Ali has been hiding in an attic since civilisation collapsed eight weeks ago.

When the plague hit, her neighbours turned into mindless, hungry, homicidal maniacs.

Daniel has been a loner his entire life. Then the world empties and he realises that being alone isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Finn is a former cop who is desperate for companionship, and willing to do anything it takes to protect the survivors around him.

When the three cross paths they band together; sparks fly, romance blooms in the wasteland and Ali, Daniel and Finn bend to their very human needs in the ruins of civilisation.

Lust, love and trust all come under fire in Flesh as the three band together to survive, hunted through the suburban wastelands.

Liezel’s Thoughts:

Every now and then the typical boy meets girl gets a tad boring. This one was like a breath of fresh air to me, a break in the monotony. Who would have even thought of writing a post apocalyptic romance and it being THIS great.

“Ali woke up coming. The dream of hands and mouth were real, the soft brush of hair and the scratch of stubble against her inner thoughts not even vaguely imagined.”

Being a thriller/suspense the story kept me gnawing on my nails. Besides the idea of any one of them getting over run and taken my zombies. … I was waiting for that moment where one of the guys offed each other to save the girl for themselves.

Adding a non conventional relationship all into the mix made it even more exceptional. Loved every moment of this book.  Hardly could put it down! Don’t let the zombie horror deter you, You positively have to read this one.

The Verdict:

rating-5

Casting Picks:

For Daniel, was thinking … maybe a Gerard Butler with more like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s bod. Or he can just be all perfect and get buffed up again =)

An older Alicia Silverstone would make a nice Ali.
