They agreed on three months...but their love knew no boundaries.

Jack McLachlan is a winemaking magnate and easily one of Australia’s most eligible bachelors. His success and wealth make him no stranger to the complications of romantic relationships and that’s why he goes to extreme measures to avoid the hassle. He prefers simplicity in the form of a beautiful female companion with no strings attached. He arranges relationships like business deals and they’re always the same. No long term relationships. No real names.

It’s his game and his rules. He’s content to play as usual, but when Laurelyn Prescott enters his life, his strategy must change because this player is like none he's ever encountered. His world is turned on its head after he begins a three month affair with the beautiful American musician. Nothing goes according to plan and as he breaks more and more of his own rules for her, she’s exceptionally close to becoming something he never thought possible. His ultimate game changer.

“I’ve been wanting to devour this mouth since the first time I saw you.”

I tell you, the sexy, alpha-male, millionaire bachelor looking for -female- companionship just keeps on getting better and better. This one really blew me away. I loved everything about it! I loved how music from  various genres was so involved in making this story just perfect. And for once I loved it was more of a romance and not some sort of BDSM relationship.

“I’m a very wealthy man. The three months we spend together would be the best of your life. You’d never be able to top what you’d experience with me.”

So let’s start with Laurelyn. The reason I liked her character was she was never an opportunist. She could have easily ridden on her father’s coat tails and be some entitled young woman asking her father to launch her music career but she was steadfast on earning her own despite her mothers attempt to convince her. She was obviously multi-talented and I loved that! She was outgoing and fun, smart and fearless, willing to try different things and follow her heart. She was strong and I loved that she followed through, stayed true to her word and kept her promise to leave after their three months. I mean, come on… if you found the love of your life… would you have been able to just leave?

I definitely loved Jack’s character too. His character was sexy, dominant, he’s rich and powerful and always knew what he wanted and was persistent and persuasive. He could have anyone or multiple anyones but he wanted to kept his relationships under the radar. Not strutting around like a manwhore. And despite his wealth and privilege he always was a family man. I also loved that he was respectful, treated her like she was precious and always regarded her as an equal. They made the relationship work so well despite having been from different worlds. And their chemistry…. was spectacular!

“I didn’t love you the day I meet you, or even a month later. But somewhere in between hello and the goodbye I’m unable to bear, I feel desperately in love with you.”

The only thing that I hated about this book is the cliffhanger! Summer 2013 is such a long wait. But I’m pretty sure it will be worth the wait. HOT! Sizzling! Amazing, READ THIS ONE!

The Verdict:

rating-5

What I want to see in the next book:

I want so much to happen that it most likely wont fit in one more book. But I want this to become a trilogy because the wait would be way to agonizing.

For Laurelyn, I want her to become a star. She was writing and composing while at Jack’s vineyard and I want those songs to launch her into stardom. But I want her to do all this on her own not rely her famous father or her producer. I foresee her getting interviews and she being secretive about the “love of her life” mentioned in the songs saying that he is no more but she will say love him forever. I’m hoping she doesn’t fall for anyone new because she belongs to him. I also hope her naked  pictures don’t get exposed. And if it does, total drama!

For Jack, I hope he gets his shit together and goes and follows her to Nashville. I also want him to go through hell to win her back. I want him willing to move and give up his precious livelihood for her if she chooses so, she will be a megastar after all so he needs to make the sacrifice for her this time around.

I hope there’s a romantic proposal and a wedding too!

Casting Picks:

For Jack, I originally choose someone Australian, Eric Bana. But he is a little older for this. Ian Somerhalder seems the popular choose but he looks young. Of course there’s the never ending David Gandy but he stars in so many of my book boyfriend casting picks that I just had to switch it up and pick Henry Cavill.

Picking out a nice Laurelyn Prescott was easy. I choose Blake Lively. She’s exactly like I pictured Laure. She would to have a sweet country voice like Jewel though. Haha!
