He’s been her ultimate untouchable desire.
Nothing says happy birthday like a rock god flying thousands of miles to surprise a woman he's never met. But that's exactly what happens to Gabi Smith when she gives her long distance best friend a flippant invitation to her laid back girl’s night out. She never expected to turn on the dance floor and find Blake Kennedy’s gaze holding her body captive.
She’s his everything and he’s never laid eyes on her.
Gabi means more to Blake than life itself. She’s his strength, his savior, and the only person who helped to vanquish his demons. No one means more to him than his angel. So when things between them start to sizzle, he's ready to fight for the future he never thought he would deserve.
Skeletons from his past will threaten his only chance at love...
Blake has come a long way—with Gabi's help—to leave the hell of his youth behind him, but sometimes memories don’t want to stay buried. Determined to stand on his own for once, Blake is willing to stretch the truth to keep his troubles from burdening the woman he adores.
Little white lies can create black holes in any relationship. Only time will tell if an Aussie with a heart of gold will forgive her bad-boy boyfriend or if the deceit will end his passionate addiction.

Liezel’s Thoughts:

I read Blind Attraction back in May and immensely enjoyed it (read that review HERE)  I was anticipating the follow-up and  I would have to say that the second book  did not disappoint. Because of that  I  most definitely have to  add this series to my  Top 5 favorites in the Rock Star Series category.

I thought the character building was superb in this book most especially with Gabi. From the very beginning you could tell that she was a caring and compassionate woman. She selflessly dedicated her time  being there for people she never even knew. I loved her for her honesty and acceptance. She wasn’t one of those people who sugar-coated her words rather she was always truthful and upfront even if some of those things could potentially be hurtful. I adored how playful and outgoing she was. For once we find a heroine that is confident enough to make that very  first move.

I thought that Blake was a great match for Gabi. He had  problems but with her motivation and encouragement he was able to get over his issues. I thought that as much as Gabi saved Blake, he did the same for her too. I loved the fact that he was at first hesitant with going further with Gabi. He showed me that her friendship was more important to him above all else. No matter how attracted he was he wouldn’t have pursued it if he thought that their amazing friendship was at risk.

“You saved my life. I never want to forget that. Even when I’m old and senile. Even if we drift apart. No matter what happens, I will always hold you close to my heart.”

I loved these two together. They both had their issues (mostly Blake) but together they got through it . I appreciated how their relationship started from a very long distant friendship leading  into so much more. From that very first meet  their chemistry was outstanding. Although there were some  compromising positions that  had me worried,  in the end I  found it pretty amusing.

I felt that the connection between the band members was better portrayed in this story. Every single one of the members of Reckless Beat was pretty well involved in each others lives.  You could really see how much they cared and supported each other through thick and thin. The constant antagonizing and bickering between all of them also provided for some  great entertainment. I won’t forget to mention how pleased I was to hear more about Alana and Mitch. Mitch?! Holy smokes!!!! Total goof when it came to Alana but I must say that man is  swoon-worthy  romantic. Loved how all that played out.

Like the previous Eden Summers books that I’ve read  I was just as  pleased with this one.  Whether it be sorrowful, pleasurable or joyful moments she has a terrific way of bringing out every emotion to the surface. The story was very well paced, the romance steamy and the plot kept me on my toes. Loved it and I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us next.

The Verdict:
