Best friends since they could walk. In love since the age of fourteen.
Complete strangers since this morning.
He'll do anything to remember. She'll do anything to forget.

Liezel’s Thoughts:

I’m typically one of those readers that browses through book reviews prior to starting a book. Knowing the writing prowess of not only Tarryn Fisher but also Colleen Hoover I decided to forego this and dive straight into their collab work titled “Never Never”.

I was expecting something brilliant and in some parts “Never Never” was but I have to be honest and say that I was not expecting that cliffhanger which I found very much frustrating.

The story revolves around Charlie Wynwood and Silas Nash. Out of the blue they both lose their memories. They have not a single recollection of their past. The people around them coupled them together and since they were the only ones having these issues  they decide to stick with each other to figure things out.

Immediately I was enraptured into their world. I truly could not put this book down.  I needed to know why Charlie and Silas became “estranged” when time and again it was proven that they were destined to be together. What I  thought was magnificent was  witnessing those moments where they realized that even  without those memories their pull was just as magnetic.

As they were beginning to figure out how they ended up in this predicament however their time resets.  It somewhat reminded me of  Bill Murray’s “Groundhog Day” or perhaps “50 First Dates” with Drew Barrymore but in this instance we don’t discover how the story ends. Disappointing.

I would have to say that I did enjoy the story telling it was how it ended ….with so many unanswered questions however that made me rate it…

The Verdict:

Most cliffhangers are frustrating. It is rare where I find a story that has a justifiable one.

  2. Katarzyna

I usually wait for all the books in the series to release so I can avoid the cliffhanger(s) as much as it’s possible. They’re very frustrating!

  3. Karen G.

I don’t mind if I can get the next book quickly! Otherwise if I know there is a cliffhanger, I try not to read them until they are all out.

  4. Kim Perry

I don’t mind if I can read the next book fairly soon. If I know there will be a cliffhanger, I’ll wait until more books are available.

  5. Erika

I can’t wait to read this one! I keep hearing so many great things too. I love good collaborative writing. As for cliffhangers, I have a love/hate relationship with them! I usually love the books that have them but hate waiting for what comes next.

  6. Krysten

I’m okay with books that have a cliffhanger as long as I don’t have to wait years for the next book to be released. A warning in the description before buying is always nice to see though. Sometimes being surprised by one isn’t always awesome lol.

I don’t mind them if I have the next book ready to read, hate waiting on them though
