I fell in love with Liam only to be left shattered into a million pieces. Again. The idea of being without him cripples me but the reality is, he’s gone.

He doesn’t understand and I can’t make him.

If only he’d see the conviction behind my words—then he’d still be here.

Liezel’s Thoughts:

I feel like I am going to be the odd-man out on this one. Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy the storyline HOWEVER it read very similar to another series that I’ve read early this year. The difference being it consisted of a love triangle between brothers rather than best friends with an opposite outcome.

That being said, I can not help but compare the two. The first series I read was more seamless while this one was…( the only word I can describe it is…) redundant. I say this not only because to me it was a story that has already been told but also I felt like the first part of the book was going around in circles which I found very frustrating.

“My heart is yours, my love is yours, my days and all my nights are yours. I’ll hold you up, stand by you, and give you everything I have.”

I do have to say that the second half of the book picked up beautifully. The emotions poured into those parts were so deep and heartfelt which was monumental in changing my overall perspective of the story. I loved that they were able to find a reasonable resolution to their issues and that after all the heartache and pain that Lee experienced that she was able to find her much deserved HEA.
