Lily LeBlanc isn’t versed in the art of casual sex, but after seven years in an on-again, off-again relationship, she’s definitely willing to give it a shot. And who better to try it with than her best friend’s boyfriend’s best friend? What could possibly go wrong? Nothing at all.
NHL player, Randy Ballistic, lives up to his last name on the ice and in the bedroom. His best friend and teammate has recently given up the puck bunnies and traded them in for a real girlfriend. And she just happens to have a seriously feisty, extra-hot best friend on the rebound. Randy’s more than happy to be Lily’s spring board back into the dating scene.
Casual sex is only casual until those pesky things called emotions get involved. Once that happens, someone’s bound to gets pucked over.
Liezel’s Thoughts:
Of the three in the series, I would have to say that this one is by far my favorite. That’s not only because it’s entertaining properties had me pulled in from the get go but because the story dealt with relatable issues.
“Pucked Over” revolves around Randy and Lily who are both very close friends with the previous couples featured in the first two books. If you’ve read the second book you know that Lily and Randy met during that infamous camping trip. The attraction between the two was instantaneous but nothing was supposed to come of it since 1) Randy is a known player and never does relationships 2) Lily is just getting over a long – term relationship 3) the distance.
Knowing that these factors existed, they agreed that all they would ever be were each others FWB’s… but OMG what amazing hook-ups they would always be! The chemistry and passion between these two were completely absurd. It wasn’t a surprise that after a few of these exceptional trysts however that they couldn’t prevent getting under each others skin too.
Obviously, they had various issues to work through. Not only the ones mentioned above but they also had respective problems that they needed to resolve too. This is one of the great things about the story…they felt real. I appreciated how I was able to connect with both of them on a more personal level.
I expected to be overwhelmed knowing that all the couples will be making an appearance in this installment and, at first, I did feel apprehensive on how the dynamics would work …. but you know what… their involvement and frequent interactions were another thing that further enhanced the story.
Bottomline is, “Pucked Over” was a terrific read! Just like the previous two books, it will keep you entices not only for its romantic and impassioned properties but because of its humorous elements too.
