Fate. Hate. Love. Lies.
Which four letter word will change their lives forever?

Sydney Paige was never so mortified to hear the words "wrong number" in her life. She meant to tell off the guy who broke her best friend's heart, but unleashed her anger on a perfect stranger instead. And now her world is turned upside down by the captivating man who wants to keep her on the line.

Brian Savage is living a life he's quickly come to hate-until Sydney's wild rant has him hooked and hungry for more. Soon the sexy woman on the phone becomes the lover in his bed. But Brian has secrets, and the closer he lets Syd get, the harder it is to shield her from the devastating mistakes of his past . . .

Q&A Review by Angie & Liezel:

Who was your favorite character and why?

Angie: To be honest I loved the twins. The brief moments we read about them I fell in love and wished we would’ve seen more of them. I really hope Jade gets her own book. Other than them I love Tori. I know people were expecting me to say Sydney but I wasn’t 100% in love with her. Tori for me is strong, stubborn and doesn’t give into the first guy that has a sexy voice or hot bod. She’s also the best friend that I am other than being rich. But she’s there for Sydney no matter what.

Liezel: Brian. His selflessness was what got me . I couldn’t fathom the guilt he felt about something that happened in the past. What was commendable about this, however, was that he was willing to do anything to make things right even when if he wasn’t to blame. I appreciated each and every relationship that he had with his family, friends and eventually Sydney.

What was your favorite part of the book and why?

Angie: It would have to be how, no matter what, that their friends had their backs. Also the love between Sydney and Brian. It was beautiful and made my heart ache wondering what it would feel like to be loved like that. The sex was hot as hell too. Despite the things I didn’t like these made up for it 100%.

Liezel: I love Brian’s character development. He was difficult to decipher at first but once his secrets were revealed he fell more in love with his character.  I  enjoyed how J. Daniels held on to so many revelations. It kept things intriguing until the very end. I also loved how Sydney and Brian’s relationship developed. It was not by any means conventional but it was completely them.

What was your least favorite part of the book and why?

Angie: The instalove and secrets. I wish Sydney would’ve played harder to get. I wish she would’ve had rebound sex before finding the one. Also I didn’t like the secrets between best friends and the love of your life. I feel like you should be able to tell your best friend anything and also your partner.

Liezel: The only thing I could think of was  all the additional characters added into the story. It got too overwhelming for me  at one point or another as I was trying to keep everyone straight. I was constantly wondering if these characters were important to keep track of? Are they from another series or perhaps  should I remember them for future reference.

What is your favorite quote?

Angie:  Love was a risk. It was wild, and unpredictable. You could either hold on for the ride, not knowing how it would end, or you could let go and never know the amazing you could’ve had.

This quote spoke to me because it’s so true. There are so many quotes that I had highlighted in this book but this one stuck out. It spoke volumes for the whole book.

Liezel: I agree with Angie. Besides the fact that the quote practically summarizes the entire story I believe in it 100%.

Would you recommend this book?

Angie: Yes! For anyone that wants a sweet, funny read with some intense moments then this book is for you! It had me hooked from the first page until the ending.

Liezel: I don’t know how this happened…Four Letter Word is the very first J.Daniels book I’ve ever read and I tell you right now it certainly won’t be my last! The characters, the writing, the story itself were fantastic. I can not wait to read more of this series and her others as well. Yes! Definitely, read this one. I assure you, you will like it as much as I did.
