And when the dangers of Noah’s job become all too real, Jordan learns being with a fighter pilot means risking it all for a shot at love…
Liezel’s Thoughts:
Sure, I’ve come across plenty of romances involving military heroes but I haven’t read anything quite like this one before. The Wild Aces Series is about U.S. Air Force fighter pilots taking that chance in finding everlasting love. The first book in the series is about Noah “Burn” Miller who meets the object of his desire – Jordan Callahan in no other than the city of One Night Stands, Las Vegas.
Their attraction caught on like wildfire and considering how fast they fell into bed with one another I thought they were going to fall immediately out of it. Much to my relief, Chanel Cleeton played their love story out extremely well. Despite the unconventional first meeting she proved to me time again just how perfect this couple were.
…now I understood that romance was taking the moments you had – those little, precious, too-short moments – and stringing them together and clutching them to your chest as though you’d always cherish them , and never let go…
The only thing I was slightly disappointed about was how the book ended – abruptly. I felt like there was so much more story to tell. I became so enthralled with this remarkable couple and their story that I didn’t want it to end. Hopefully, we will see catch a glimpse of them in the next book.
Besides the romance, I loved how the author gave us an insight into the lives of those men and women who serve. Personally, it gave me a better understanding of the sacrifices that not only the servicemen make but their families as a whole. This, in particular, was why the series stood out for me and why I will be coming back for more.
The Verdict:
Other Books in the Series:
Book #2: Into The Blue
Eric Jansen—call sign Thor—loves nothing more than pushing his F-16 to the limit. Returning home to South Carolina after a tragic loss, he hopes to fix the mistake he made long ago, when he chose the Air Force over his fiancée.
Becca Madison isn’t quick to welcome Thor back. She can’t forget how he shattered her heart. But Thor won’t give up once he’s set his sights on what he wants—and he wants Becca.
Thor shows Becca that he’s no longer the impulsive boy he used to be, and Becca finds herself irresistibly drawn to him. But will Thor be able to walk away from his dream of flying the F-16 for their love or does his heart belong to the sky?

A year after losing her husband, Joker, the squadron commander of the Wild Aces, Dani Peterson gets an offer from his best friend, Alex “Easy” Rogers, to help fix up her house. Dani accepts, and their friendship grows—along with an undeniable attraction.
Racked by guilt for loving his best friend’s widow, Easy’s caught between what he wants and can’t have.
