Liezel’s Thoughts:
I can totally relate to what Mara and Claire said…..“That bar, those boys, the city…it all has a way of growing on you, doesn’t it? “It sure does. Like fucking tentacles.”…because every single one of these brothers is addicting! What is so great about them is that although they come from the same blood they are each distinct individuals yet when they’re together, they are a well-oiled machine.
Beside them were just as amazing women and in this book it was Mara. Mara to me was a breath of fresh air. I appreciated her for being this sexy, strong-willed, independent, no-holds-barred woman that we rarely see in today’s romances. Her “I don’t need a man” attitude made her character stand out. Zane didn’t stand a chance and that chase was definitely something spectacular.
When these two were “together”… WHOAAAAA! Be ready to turn up the air conditioning and grab a long island ice tea otherwise you might melt into a pile of goo because of all the HEAT. What I’m trying to say is that the sex is so friggin’ graphic. Almost to the point where you have this NEED to drop everything and go forth and validate your own *cough* skills.
Another element I loved about Zane and Mara’s story was witnessing them both falling in love for the very first time. These two relationship phobes were somewhat awkward starting off but they sure did make up for it (with of course the brothers help) towards the very end.
I need to mention that the only reason thing holding me back from giving this a 5/5 rating was the ending. I felt like there was so much more story to tell *whiny voice*. They were that great, I wasn’t ready to let them go. Hopefully, we will see more of them in future books.
Personally, I can’t wait to get to know the rest of the brothers. Their unique dynamics between them and their (future) significant others is the #1 draw for me.
