I was a dead woman.

I’d finally had a glimpse of true love, admiration, and the kind of devotion only your soulmate, your other half, could provide…until it was physically ripped away.

Taken.

My stalker had me, and there was little hope I’d be found. I knew Chase would use all his money and resources to search the ends of the Earth for me, but I knew the monster I was dealing with. Years of looking into the eyes of pure evil gave me the unique experience to know that my situation was dire.

If Chase didn’t find me soon, I’d be gone forever.

Liezel’s Thoughts:

Okay. I admit I was completely wrong about this series. I said in my first review that this was way too similar to Fifty Shades… but MY! Oh, My, “Mind” and “Soul” proved my statement wrong. It might have originally started off with an alpha male billionaire falling for an unsuspected woman but the series is so much more.

“Mind” was definitely the turning point. This is when we are offloaded with numerous twists and turns that kept me on my toes guessing. What made it even better was Charles Constant’s narration. His voice had this creepy factor that just gave me the heebie-jeebies. He accentuated the mystery and suspense perfectly.

About the characters…well,  Gillian Callahan was one lucky woman. Without her best friends (and of course Chase) she would have never survived the stress, torture, and punishment. These situations that Gigi was put in were far too many but every time she was brought back from the brink these relations strengthened tenfold. I couldn’t ask for a better set of friends. The devotion and loyalty among these women were unparalleled.

Chase was definitely Gigi’s saving grace. From the very beginning…he was just WOW! Loved how he worshiped the ground Gigi walked on which she deserved considering her past.  The chemistry and passion between these two was off the charts. I did feel overwhelmed with all the unnecessary sex scenes but I am sure many of you will see this as a pro rather than a con.

I couldn’t ask for a better conclusion to Chase and Gigi’s story. I would definitely recommend The Trinity Series to those who are looking for a fantastic romantic suspense or perhaps a souped up version of the Fifty Shades Series. I personally appreciated this more and am looking forward to reading/listening to the other series written by Audrey Carlan.

The Verdict:
