Cinderella never had to deal with this crap.

Jane isn't entirely sure that Cinderella got such a raw deal. Sure, she had a rough start, but didn't she eventually land a prince and a happily-ever-after? Meanwhile, Jane is busy waiting on her demanding, entitled sisters, running her cleaning business, and . . . yep, not a prince in sight. Until a party and a broken shoe incident leave Jane wondering if princes---or at least, a certain deliciously hunky billionaire---maybe do exist.

Except Brock Wellington isn't anyone's dream guy. Hell, a prince would never agree to be auctioned off in marriage to the highest bidder. Or act like an arrogant jerk---even if it was just a façade. Now, as Brock is waiting for the auction chopping block, he figures it's karmic retribution that he's tempted by a sexy, sassy woman he can't have. But while they can't have a fairy-tale ending, maybe they can indulge in a little bit of fantasy . .

The Bachelor Auction by #RachelVanDyken is Live! in Paperback

Liezel’s Thoughts:

Who doesn’t love the story of Cinderella? Even after revisiting the various adaptations over the years, I still get enough of this fairytale and this is why I didn’t hesitate reading The Bachelor Auction. What made RVD’s version different was the humor.

Brock was way too serious. His grandfather knew this and this is the exact reason why he concocted this crazy ass plan to find him a woman and not just any woman….but someone to marry and spend the rest of his life with. That doesn’t seem like an easy feat at all. But pretend demented grandpa thought about all this…

And at first, I couldn’t picture Jane and Brock together but as the story unfolded I found that even if these two existed in completely different social circles that they had so much more in common than expected. It was a struggle for both of them at first but once those walls came down and they finally gave in, WOOOW…they were amazing together. I couldn’t ask for a better fit for these two.

Another thing that I adored about this book was the banter not just between the main couple but the other characters, specifically the brothers. Brant and Bentley were both over the top – egotistical yet witty and even more playful than Brock. They sure did make a lasting impression. I can not wait to see each of them that two fall  and get their HEA’s like Plain Jane and Boring Brock did.’
