Violet McQueen has always been a sensitive soul. Troubled and misunderstood, she never realized her place in the world, nor her true potential…until she met Vicente Bernal.

From birth, Vicente Bernal has always known his place in the world – he’s been groomed to be a ruthless king. Yet for a man whose soul has become morally bankrupt, it’s only through Violet he’s realizing the worth of someone’s heart.

But at what cost?

With a deadly game set in motion taking them from the stark deserts of California to the steamy jungles of Mexico, Violet and Vicente’s forbidden relationship will be put to the test. Boundaries will be pushed, lines will be crossed and souls will get very, very dirty.

Because how do you choose between blood and love when both might get you killed?

Angie’s Thoughts:

Dirty Souls is phenomenal! Both books in the Sins Duet will set you on fire. Hot. Sexy. Poetic. Dark. You won’t be able to get enough of this book or this duet!

I can not think of one thing I did not love about Dirty Souls. Karina’s writing seems to evolve with each book. Her talent knows no bounds. You completely become so enraptured in her writing that time ceases to exist. Each book and character is unique. You can’t help but to fall in love.

I didn’t think I could fall more in love with Vicente but I did. Deeply. Completely. Head over heels in love with him. I love bad boys and he’s my perfect bad boy. Perfect. His wicked mouth made my bones quiver. There’s something about a man talking dirty before and during sex that does it for me.

My sweet Violet who was once so innocent, naive and drove me crazy in Black Hearts grew some balls. I loved seeing her becoming the woman she was meant to be. Strong. Confident. Fearless. I was so proud of her.

Vicente and her relationship is so strong that it could withstand a tsunami. Their love is endless and beautiful. It makes you weep.

For this beautiful slice in time, Vicente and I are the only things to exist. Two broken and brave people sitting on the throne of the world.

You need to read Black Hearts first before reading Dirty Souls or you won’t know what the hell is going on.

Liezel’s Thoughts:

I always thought that the Artist Trilogy was fantastic. After reading The Sins Duet, however, I can safely say that this Duet elevates both on an entirely new level. What I loved most about the duet was how everything came full circle. Karina Halle certainly didn’t disappoint in delivering such an amazing conclusion to this unforgettable saga.

The character building was magnificent. Vicente was so unexpected (considering who is father is ). Because of the violence he was exposed to you would expect him to be such a hardened man and he is in the beginning but once Violet got under his skin he became a changed man. She truly was his salvation.

“I wanted you,” he says, desperation in his voice. “I wanted every inch of you. Your body. Your busy mind. Your big heart. I wanted in. I found something inside you I never thought that I could find anywhere.”

I take a deep breath and lick my lips. “And what is that?”

“Salvation.”

I couldn’t ask for a better woman for Vicente. The love and passion that these two shared was beyond anything I could ever imagine. If you thought Camden and Ellie were great you haven’t seen nothing yet! Karina hit it right on the nail with these two. Such a fabulous pairing!
I also thought that the action and suspense sequences were perfect. The way things were described were very well thought out and on point. As if I was watching a movie unfold in front of my very eyes. If you asked me what series I would love to see on the small/big screen – I would choose this one.

The Verdict:
