A new stand alone office romance from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde...
I’ve always had one rule:
Don’t mix business and pleasure.
But then Landon Wright comes home to his family’s construction company with a broken back and a beaten heart and ends up as my new sexy boss. As the office gets heated, I’m thinking about throwing the rulebook out the window.
If only there weren’t a million reasons this could never work.
We may have shared a single perfect kiss, but I can’t let our intense connection cloud my judgment. Not with everything I’ve worked for on the line.
Dating your boss is so very, very wrong…even if he feels so Wright.
Hooked! Completely and utterly hooked I tell you! The Wright amount of drama (see what I did there? lol) is definitely what keeps me coming back for more.
As the synopsis states the book is about Landon Wright who I took a special interest in as I was listening to the first book – The Wright Brother. Why you might ask? I wanted to know what type of man could stand the likes of someone like Miranda is exactly why. If you aren’t acquainted with this “peach” she is one of those characters who you love to hate. She made the best adversary and I think this is one of the many reasons why the story stood out for me.
This woman seriously wreaked havoc on Landon’s life. I felt sorry for the guy and thought he deserved an amazing woman and he found that in Heidi. What was great about Heidi and Landon is that they’ve been friends forever. If you don’t know, Heidi is Emery’s BFF (Landon’s ex). If that isn’t complicated enough then take in consideration that Landon unexpectedly becomes Heidi’s boss too.
Sounds like something out of Jerry Springer, wright? (yes, I spelled that wright. Stop corrected me spellcheck) BUT I tell you this….KA Linde tackled all of these complications flawlessly. The way she incorporates the entire family in fixing Landon’s predicament is EPIC. I can not wait to see the role they will play in Austin story which is next.
