I brought them to the wilderness because we couldn’t cope with our reality.
The plan was to make a new life that didn’t include heartache.

No people. No technology. No interference.
Just us.
A chance to piece together what was broken.

But the wilderness is untamed and harsh.
Brutal and unforgiving.
It doesn’t give a damn about your feelings.

Tragedy lives there too.
No escaping the truths that won’t let you go.

All you can do is survive where love, no matter how beastly, is the only thing you can truly count on.

Confusing. Wrong. Twisted. Beautiful. Sick.

Love is wild.
And we’re going to set it free.

Warning:

The Wild is an extremely taboo story. Most will find that the themes in this book will make you incredibly uncomfortable. This book is only for the brave, the open-minded, and the ones who crave love in even the most dismal of situations. Extreme sexual themes and violence in certain scenes, which could trigger emotional distress, are found in this story. If you are sensitive to heavy taboo themes, then this story is not for you.

Angie’s Thoughts:

The Wild is beautiful and ugly. It’s sweet and sinful. It’s joyful and tragic. You may question yourself about why you’re reading it. You remind yourself to Trust Kristi. If you do, the ride is completely worth it and by the end, every bit of doubt, anxiety, and questioning leaves you.

The Wild may be a taboo read but it’s one of the best, twisted, what the hell books book I’ve read this year. Miss Webster makes you love the unlovable. The forbidden. The unthinkable. Heed the warning but if you dare to proceed you won’t be sorry. The Wild is one book that you’ll never forget and one book that fans will talk about for a long time after.

The Verdict:

Liezel’s Thoughts:

Again, K. Webster’s warning shouldn’t be taken lightly with this book. It is in fact, over the top, unexpected, and yes…extremely disturbing. I even had doubts if I could go through with it but I am grateful that I did because beyond the taboo and the controversy lays one amazing love story.

For the most part, it doesn’t make any sense but as we sift through both Reed and Devon’s thoughts and feelings we come across a  pure, an incomparable and unfathomable love.  If you do decide to read this one (which I suggest you do) go in with an open mind. Open your heart and just experience this profound love beyond reason.
