New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby delivers another sizzling novel in her delectable and sexy Fusion series.
Riley Gibson is over the moon at the prospect of having her restaurant, Seduction, on the Best Bites TV network. This could be the big break she’s been waiting for. But the idea of having an in-house show on a regular basis is a whole other matter. Their lives would be turned upside down, and convincing Mia, her best friend and head chef of Seduction, that having cameras in her kitchen every day is a good idea is daunting. Still, Riley knows it’s an opportunity she can’t afford to pass on. And when she meets Trevor Cooper, the show’s executive producer, she’s stunned by their intense chemistry.
Trevor’s sole intention is to persuade Riley to allow Best Bites TV to do a show on her restaurant. But when he walks into Riley’s office, he stops dead in his tracks. The professional, aloof woman on the phone is incredibly beautiful and funny. But can he convince her that he’s interested in Riley for himself? Or is he using the undeniable pull between them to persuade her to agree to his offer?
Liezel’s Thoughts:
I loved Sex In The City and so far Kristy Proby’s Fusion Series is the best series that even comes close to that. If you aren’t familiar with the series, it is about five amazingly, attractive, smart and successful women who run and co-own the popular new restaurant named Seduction. The friendships between Addie, Cami, Mia, Kat and Riley alone is beautiful but witnessing each and one of them finding the love of their life is definitely what keeps me coming back for more.
The Beauty of Us is about Riley Gibson who has the worse luck in finding men. The fail dating stories she tells her friends over drinks is beyond deplorable and eavesdropping Trevor Cooper thinks exactly the same. After hearing the complaints, he first becomes intrigued and then determined to show her that not all men are born douche canoes.
Sounds easy enough, right but here is a kicker…. Trevor isn’t just some stranger sitting at a bar who overhears a casual conversation among close friends. He is in fact, the producer of the TV show that the women are a part of. Yes! My first thought was…” Way to make one hell of an impression, Riley.” My second thought was “How was this going to work? This had disaster written all over it!”
From the very start, Riley and Trevor were phenomenal. The way that their relationship progressed was ideal but it gets somewhat tricky there at the end. You think that Riley would be the issue in this relationship but it’s Trevor who ends up with tons of baggage but all’s well that ends well. I wouldn’t expect anything else from this author.
I thought every single story in the Fusion Series so far is great. They can be read as stand-alones but I suggest reading all of them in order. They were really fast, easy, fun and relatable reads so no worries there. I am hoping Mia’s story in Savor You is the same. Can’t wait!
