From the bestselling author of All Is Not Forgotten comes a thriller about two missing sisters, a twisted family, and what happens when one girl comes back...

One night three years ago, the Tanner sisters disappeared: fifteen-year-old Cass and seventeen-year-old Emma. Three years later, Cass returns, without her sister Emma. Her story is one of kidnapping and betrayal, of a mysterious island where the two were held. But to forensic psychiatrist Dr. Abby Winter, something doesn't add up. Looking deep within this dysfunctional family Dr. Winter uncovers a life where boundaries were violated and a narcissistic parent held sway. And where one sister's return might just be the beginning of the crime.

Angie’s Thoughts:

Emma in the Night is a psychological thriller/mystery that truly messes with your mind. You will have to read it again just to get a grasp on what the heck you just read.

Emma and Cass disappeared one night. No one knows where they went. Who they are with. For 3 years they are missing. Presumed dead. Then Cass returns home. The story that unfolds is shocking, mind-blowing and leaves you wondering what if.

I really wanted to rate this a 5 but I had a hard time getting into the book at first. I loved Cass’s story but when it came to Abby I couldn’t connect with her at first. The great detail that was put into her research was exhausting at times to me and I found myself skimming through her narrative to get to Cass.

That all changed though once the story picked up and I found myself enthralled with both characters. So much so that I didn’t put it down until I finished it.

Wendy Walker’s writing was captivating, flawless. Her characters held so many secrets that you wanted to crack every single one of them open. Once I was able to become thoroughly intrigued with this book I couldn’t stop reading even if I tried.

This is my first book by Miss Walker and it won’t be my last. I actually purchased All is not Forgotten and I’m looking forward to reading it.
