Hotel clerk Abby Medford has always enjoyed the quiet solitude of the night shift. The long, boring hours allow her time to study her law books. But when bad-boy-rocker Lucas Ford checks into the penthouse suite one night and demands Abby personally deliver his room service request, her formerly quiet nights are quickly filled with Lucas's erotic games.
But as Abby soon learns, if she thinks she can indulge her innermost desires with Lucas without giving him her heart, she's dead wrong.

Q & A Review by Liezel & Angie

What made you want to read this book?

Liezel: Two things really enticed me to read this book. First, it is part of the highly addictive Misadventure Series. With how much I’m enjoying each book I fully intend to read every single one. The second reason is because I work the night shift… I thought what better way to pass the night by reading a book about it?

Angie: I have became obsessed with these short reads. Each one is unique and you don’t know exactly what you’re going to read until you dive right in. I also love getting the opportunity to read authors that I normally wouldn’t read or authors that are new to me. I’m finding a lot of new books to add to my TBR!

How does this book compare to the others in the Misadventure Series? Did you enjoy it more or less than the others?

Liezel: That’s the thing about this series, every single one is different and each have different things to offer. I would say that I loved this one as much as I loved the others. I am glad that there isn’t an end to the series. Time will tell if I will ever be able to choose a favorite one.

Angie: You really can’t compare these books. They’re each different in their own right and that’s what I love about them. Some have hit higher than others but that would be unfair to pick just one yet with the series not coming to an end. That’s like picking a favorite child while being pregnant with another child. 🙂

What are your thoughts about Abby? Luke? Did they pair well?

Liezel: I loved the both of them especially together. They were both headed towards a downward spiral in their separate lives but once they found each other it was as if the world opened up for both of them. I loved how they became each other’s inspiration, how they motivated each other to mature, and strive to reach their full potential.

Angie: I loved how different they were from each other. I loved how Abby was quiet. Reserved. Where Lucas was the complete opposite. He commanded attention when he walked into a room. No one could resist a man like that not even Abby. I loved them together. They were perfect actually. They bought out the best in each other and it was like a dark cloud was hanging around them and it suddenly turned into a sunny day.

What do you think about song lyrics becoming a part of a book?

Liezel: There are often times that I feel it to be unnecessary but in this case, I loved “Abby”. I thought it was a great way for Luke to express what he felt especially during that time that they were apart. I loved that it gave their time together – meaning, that even if it was just one week it together wasn’t just part of a “deal” rather a live changing experience.

Think about it…. If you were in Abby’s shoes the first time you listened to that song what would you have felt? SWOOOON…

Angie: I’m all about lyrics in books. I think it’s more personal and makes us, as a reader, feel a deeper connection to the characters. Not only does Abby’s song belong to her but it belongs to us too.

What did you like about this book? Dislike?

Liezel: I loved how their relationship emerged especially towards the end. The time and distance away gave them ample opportunity to grow into their own. Dislike? I wished that Abby would have put up a better fight in the beginning rather than immediately giving in to Luke’s mind boggling request. His request sure would have made me uncomfortable if I was in Abby’s shoes but man did it make for a smoldering, sexy story!

Angie: I loved how hot this book was but not only that it actually had a story to it. We grew to love these characters and it sucked when it was over. I couldn’t read it fast enough. I didn’t like some small things in it but if I told you I would ruin the book for you. It’s not enough to not like it though.

Would you recommend this book?

Liezel: I love a great rockstar romance and I thought this was one was terrific. It wasn’t just your typical hot and sexy romance it had life lessons too. I sure do hope we get to revisit this great couple again in the future like the others.

Angie: This book was so addicting! It’s hot and sinful. Sexy and dirty. I couldn’t read it fast enough!! It’s just that damn good. I have never read Lauren Rowe before but she can consider me a new fan!
