Liezel’s Thoughts:
Yallfest 2017 is my 4th Yallfest Book Festival that I have attended and to me it seems to be getting bigger and brighter each year.
They’ve added numerous renowned authors to the list, gave out tons of swag items and 2018 ARCs, the attendee and panels lines are longer and the vendor tents and fun games and prizes become were more abundant this year.
Yesterday a friend asked me if it was too hectic running from one location to another. It does sound crazy but honestly, I absolutely love it! Besides providing a great opportunity to acknowledging the beauty of Charleston it gave me ample time to find new to me local shops that I would’ve have otherwise known about.
And even if the some of the wait times are long it goes by fast because you meet, greet, and talk with so many people from different walks of life that share the same passion for these authors and their BOOKS.
If you asked me who my favorite author to visit with was? I would have to say Victoria Aveyard. Her “Red Queen” Series is definitely one of my all time favorite YA Series. If you haven’t read it yet you are completely missing out. There was a slight mishap but despite that she was still such a great author to talk to. Seriously, thanks for the laughable memories….
Haven’t attended a Yallfest Book Festival yet? I suggest you do so! It certainly isn’t like any other book signing that I’ve you have attended before, I guarantee it!
Couldn’t make it this year? No worries…. we are sharing some of the goodies with you…
