One accident changed my life.
One single second changed everything for me.
In one terrifying moment, everything I knew was gone.
Music is the only thing that keeps me holding on.
When the opportunity arises for me to tour with country music star, Scarlett Belle, I take it.
Only it isn’t enough to lift the shadows of my past.
And when I meet him, dangerous and different, I can’t turn away.
He is forbidden to me.
The President of a Motorcycle Club.
A man who could bring noise back into my soundless world.
But the shadows of my past haunt me.
They linger like a dark nightmare, reminding me that we can never be.
Because my sins are far too heavy.
And my mind far too broken.
Music is the only escape I can allow into my life.
The only one that I will let seep through my hungry veins.
But he’s always there.
And he’s persistent.
But if he knew what I kept behind closed doors…no.
I must continue my life just the way it is.
Breathing in my nightmare.
Living in my Hushed Torment.
Hushed Torment was more than I expected. What I loved about it was how Bella Jewel flawlessly intertwined the previous couple – Scarlett and Maverick into Amalie and Malakai’s story without it being overwhelming.
I did, however, have issues connecting with Malakai’s character and wished that there was a more detailed backstory. He was your typical MC Prez – dedicated to keeping his MC safe. I loved his possessiveness, the alpha-male qualities were fantastic especially in the bedroom…or against the wall…or in the shower……
At first, I couldn’t understand why Amalie was willing to take the nonstop abuse but when I delved further into the story, I understood her dedication and loyalty which I thought was relatable. I loved that with the right influence she was willing to step out of her comfort zone and appreciated the fact that Malakai was one of those people that motivated her to spread her wings.
I definitely see these two being together for the long haul. It’s pretty obvious that despite how different they are they love each other deeply. I do think it would be a challenge considering how different their lifestyles are but with a little work and support from those around them they could make things work.
That’s the beauty of this series, not only do we get to witness Scarlett and Amalie’s music evolve but we see each of their relationships progress and solidify. Another thing that is great about this series is the interesting supporting characters introduced in each book. Charlie, in particular, has my interest piqued and I am very interested in how Bella Jewel will spin this badass of a woman’s story.
Great plot, impressionable characters, perfect balance between suspense and romance – if these are some of the things that you are looking for in a series, don’t hesitate to choose The Iron Fury MC Series. Personally, I’ve enjoyed it so far and I am looking forward to reading more!
