Love turns deadly in a new, heart-pounding thriller from Natasha Preston, author of the runaway bestsellers The Cellar and The Cabin.

Lylah and her friends can't wait to spend a night out together. Partying is the perfect way to let loose from the stress of life and school, and Lylah hopes that hitting the dance floor with Chace, her best friend, will bring them closer together. She's been crushing on him since they met. If only he thought of her the same way...

The girls are touching up their makeup and the guys are sliding on their coats when the doorbell rings. No one is there. An envelope sits on the doormat. It's an anonymous note addressed to their friend Sonny. A secret admirer? Maybe. They all laugh it off.

Except Sonny never comes home. And a new note arrives:

Angie’s Thoughts:

I did not see that ending coming. Mind. Freaking. Blown.

This whole book is a fast-paced, edge of your seat, suspense thriller that will leave some guessing up until almost at the very end. I was torn between 3 people. By no means did that ruin the book for me when I figured out early on who it was. I did not expect the amount of crazy we were going to read and it was great!

The narrator, Lylah, at times drove me crazy. But I think that’s what the author was going for. She put us into her mind and we sure did feel the full effects of it. I wanted to slap her a few times and tell her to get a grip. But instead, I took a drink of wine and moved on.

Despite that, I did love her. She’s been through a lot and has overcome such a heartbreaking loss. She’s a strong feminine lead and you definitely see this near the end.

Overall, You Will Be Mine is a great book that has some unexpected twists and turns that will leave you second guessing who done it.

Smirking over his shoulder as he walks away, Chace asks, “Are you coming or not?”

I grab the photo off the bar and follow him back to our table, where he sets down the tray. I slap the photo next to the drinks.

“That was left behind the bar, along with money for a free round,” I blurt.

Chace might not be worried, but surely one of my friends will make the connection. I can count on Sienna and Charlotte…I think.

“That’s us,” Isaac states.

“Congratulations, Sherlock,” Chace mutters sarcastically.

Sonny picks up his drink and raises it. “Well, thanks to the mystery drink fairy.”

“Why would someone take our photo?” Charlotte asks.

“Exactly!” I exclaim.

“So the bartender would know who to give the drinks to,” Isaac replies with an eyeroll. “Obviously.”

But I’m not buying it. “Why keep it a secret?”

Isaac shrugs. “I don’t know, Lylah. Drink up. The show’s about to start.

I don’t understand why no one is taking this seriously. It doesn’t make sense.

“What’s on the back of the photo?” Sienna asks.

“Huh?” Chace says.

“The edge is peeling.” She picks it up and pulls at the black shiny backing.

What the hell?

When the backing peels off, Sienna looks at the photo, then drops it on the table like it’s burned her. The small black square looks like the note Sonny received earlier with cut-out letters.

About Natasha Preston

My name is Natasha, but most people call me Tash or Tasha. I don’t mind either. I was born in England and have lived in small towns and villages out in the countryside ever since.

My husband, Joseph, is the most supportive person in my life. Without his love, help and patience I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’m a proud mummy to two amazing little boys who are my whole world.

At school I drifted through, achieving average grades. I fell into administration and receptionist jobs, thinking that I couldn’t really do anything else.

In 2010 I stumbled into writing completely by accident. I was searching the ‘app store’ and came across Wattpad – an amateur writing site. For the first few months I just read, but then I decided to type out some of the ideas swirling around in my head. I’m so glad I did because I love creating new stories.

Writing gave me an escape and Wattpad gave me the confidence I lacked.
