 Liezel’s Thoughts:

I thought I was impressed with Show Me The Way, but I realized I hadn’t seen anything yet because this book made me even far more emotional than the previous book. How is that even possible? Well…let me just tell you…

Harley Hope Masterson, she possessed this beauty innate inside and out. She was puzzling at first. I couldn’t figure out why she was so guarded. I wasn’t surprised that this was another reason why she caught Kale’s attention – her mystique. You see, Hope has a secret. A secret that some may deem as baggage but for me, it made her character more relatable.

Kale was attracted to her way before even knowing but once Hope’s cards were all laid out on the table he couldn’t help but feel even more connected to her.  As a doctor, it is a part of his nature to nurture after all. What I couldn’t get was why he held off for so long. I felt so frustrated at first, wanting to strangle this man but when his past comes to light I understood where his hesitations were coming from.

Again, I was completely impressed with how AL Jackson brought things full circle. The “connections” between the characters were so unexpected, hours later I’m still asking myself… Did that just really happened? This made me come to the conclusion that Kale deserved a happy ending just as much as Hope did.

I do have to admit, there were some things about Kale that irked the hell out of me but nonetheless I enjoyed their story. If love stories that will wring you emotionally dry is something that you love I definitely would recommend reading this book. I personally can not get enough and can not wait to see who falls next.
