The night I’m released from prison, she’s in my bed.
It’s been eight years since I touched a woman, and the Native American beauty is half-dressed, beaten, bruised, and devastatingly exquisite.

We’re toxic together, but we want the same things. Blood. Vengeance.
Violent relief in a warm body.

Beneath her touch, I’m alive.
Against her skin, I’m redeemed.
Buried inside her, I forget the past.
Until the past takes her from me.

Prison made me cold, but losing Raina makes me cruel. Ruthless. Unforgiving.
I killed before. For her, I’ll kill again.
I’ll end this once and for all or die in my boots

Liezel’s Thoughts:

I do have to admit, it wasn’t easy getting into this trilogy. Knotted starts off violently and if you’ve read a Pam Godwin book before you know exactly how detailed her scenes could get but once I started, I had to keep going. Let’s just say, my curiosity got the best of me.

Of the three books Booted holds a special place in my heart. This is because of the hero – Lorne. He was the one who gave up most among the close-knit group of friends. He deserved an even better HEA and I am ecstatic that he achieved it.

What was so great about this love story was the fantastic pairing between Lorne and Raina.  Raina isn’t what I expected. She is just as damaged as Lorne but her character and personality was exactly what Lorne needed to get past his demons.

I loved them together as a couple and all of them as a whole. The best thing about the Trilogy is the remarkable bond between all of the characters.   If you have issues with the first few chapters, don’t you worry… Pam Godwin makes it worth your while until the very end!

About Pam Godwin

Pam Godwin lives in Missouri with her husband, their two children, and a foulmouthed parrot. When she ran away, she traveled fourteen countries across five continents, attended three universities, and married the vocalist of her favorite rock band. Now, she resides in her hometown, earning her living as a portfolio research analyst, and living her yearning as a writer.

Java, tobacco, and dark romance novels are her favorite indulgences, and might be considered more unhealthy than her aversion to sleeping, eating meat, and dolls with blinking eyes.
