I am complex.
My love is all-encompassing.
And when it comes to my heart, there is only one rule:
Don’t mess with what’s mine.
Until the age of seven, I was Joel Alexander Donovan, son of Jimmy. The man who terrorized a town and made its citizens fear the very ground he walked on. Including me, the day I realized that ground ran red with blood.
At age eighteen, I became Priest.
A man without a past.
A man determined to right the wrongs of my father.
A man who never believed anyone could love the son of such a monster.
But then a thief stole my heart.
A sweetheart lit up my world.
And I forgot for a moment you should never turn your back on your enemy.
And thus begins a lesson to those who would seek to harm: Never underestimate what the Priest will do to protect the Princess and the Prick.
Speaking of “complicated relationships” – Priest, Julien, and Robbie? It couldn’t get any more complicated than that! Not only is Robbie entering a new relationship with two men who have equally strong personalities, men who have been married for years, who have extremely busy and successful careers but also have unresolved issues from the past.
Could they get past all of that? Man, I was doubtful at first but Ella Frank made it so. I loved how the guys tackled one issue at a time. What was great was they didn’t go at it alone but they worked as a team. Even if Robbie was newer in the relationship Priest and Julien were welcoming in any given situation ( inside and outside of the bed).
I also enjoyed reading about Priest’s past. I always wondered what was it about him that made him so different, so aloft and in the end, I admired him for coming out successful and fulfilled. I won’t neglect to mention, Ella added another interesting character into the mix – Henri. I am seriously crossing my fingers that he eventually gets a book of his own.
There is a reason Ella Frank is my go-to person for MM romance – her pertinence to detail, the uniqueness of the relationships and of course the passion between all involved is fantastic.
