There were rules in the cash-for-beauty game. The money held the power. The beauty followed the rules and jumped through the hoops.

THE BRIDE
I knew what everyone would think if they knew the truth about my marriage. They'd be shocked and appalled. And rightly so. I was a young, modern, independent woman, and I'd done the unthinkable. I'd sold my virginity to a spoiled, rich boy. To a stranger who didn’t love me.

And yes, I'd done it all for money.

THE GROOM
My bride was as gorgeous as she was unwelcome. As desirable as she was unwanted. I wanted nothing to do with her, but that didn’t seem to matter exactly the second she got close enough to touch. I wanted her to hate me more than she loved the millions she’d sold herself for.

I wanted to spurn her, but unfortunately, I wanted to fuck her more.

Liezel’s Thoughts:

I tried to hate this book. There were some elements that pissed me off but I can’t deny that this is one story that I devoured in one sitting.

Arranged is what exactly it implies… an arranged marriage. What was different about this story was that the heroine – Noura did this by choice. One of the reasons that held my attention was why someone in her position would be willing to give up her independence.

The word “whore” was frequently used to describe Noura to the point that it became aggravating! By definition, she was but it was a bit overused for my taste. Behind all that, I thought she had so much more substance. Her principles were “different” but no matter what, she stood by them which I thought was admirable.

Banks on the other hand also annoying but his attitude towards Noura made for some fantastic tension. He was a complete jerk but in the end, he redeemed himself. Despite all the craziness that occurred between them I thought their pairing was good.

All in all, Arranged was an engaging romance.  Even with my hang-ups mentioned above, I enjoyed it and don’t regret staying way past my bedtime to devour it.

The Verdict:

About R.K. Lilley

R.K. Lilley has been a writer since she can remember, but has held down some interesting jobs to pay the bills. For several years she was a first class flight attendant, and she always swore that she just had to write a book about it. Mixing her love of romance and all things BDSM, the Up In the Air Trilogy is her debut into the world of contempary romance and erotica. She is currently working on the final installment in the series.
