Delaney, a professional bodyguard, has spent years trying to prove herself in a male dominated industry. Now she's facing her greatest challenge yet.

Bad boy billionaire Jax Shields has made plenty of enemies on his climb to the top, but being in the wrong place at the wrong time has put his life at risk. Now he's putting his life in the hands of Delaney and her team. He demands the best in everything, and he doesn't think she has what it takes to protect him. He's also made it clear he'd rather have her on her back then covering his. Will Delaney be able to prove herself to the most arrogant—and devastatingly handsome—man she's ever met?

Liezel’s Thoughts:

Of all the books in the Bella Jewel’s Alpha’s Heart Series “Hard To Fight” is by far my favorite. I attribute this to the fantastic role that  Delaney plays in the story. She is so unexpected in the sense that she is a beautiful young woman who at all costs is determined to success in such a male dominant profession.

For that reason alone I became fascinated with her. I needed to know the why’s and the how she chose such a dangerous career. What was also interesting is discovering the ways she could prove to her male colleagues that she worthy to work among them. We have all been through that point in life where we are the newbies so it was easy to identify what she was going through in that aspect.

When she was finally given the chance, I predicted it would be an utter disaster.  I thought that there was no way that Delaney would be able to keep it together considering the chemistry she shared with the enigmatic man that she was assigned to protect -Jax Shields. I was glad that Bella Jewel was able to prove me wrong however since Delaney always kept her wits and perform her duties during those threatening circumstances.

Another thing that kept me enthralled was the relationship itself. The forbidden nature of it obviously made it all the more enticing. I thought that all those spectacular moments were mostly brought on by the frequent adrenaline rush but that isn’t so. In the end, they were able to convince me that what they felt was so much more than just that rush.

I enjoyed this third installment of the series. I would certainly recommend “Hard To Fight” for those in search of a romance that contains a touch of suspense with a great amount of heat between a compelling alpha and a remarkably impressive and headstrong heroine.
