Wall Street meets the Sons of Anarchy in the smoldering, scorching first novel in the explosively sexy new Dirty Money series from New York Times bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones.

How bad do you want it?

The only man within the Brandon empire with a moral compass, Shane Brandon is ready to take his family's business dealings legitimate. His reckless and ruthless brother, Derek wants to keep Brandon Enterprises cemented in lies, deceit, and corruption. But the harder Shane fights to pull the company back into the light, the darker he has to become. Then he meets Emily Stevens, a woman who not only stirs a voracious sexual need in him, but becomes the only thing anchoring him between good and evil.

Emily is consumed by Shane, pushed sexually in ways she never dreamed of, falling deeper into the all-encompassing passion that is this man. She trusts him. He trusts her, but therein lies the danger. Emily has a secret, the very thing that brought her to him in the first place, and that secret that could that destroy them both.

Liezel’s Thoughts:

If you asked me what is the best thing about any book written by Lisa Renee Jones is I would  say that it’s her way of depicting the all too perfect alpha male. Ambitious, intelligent, attractive, domineering, dominant in the bedroom…these are just a few of the many characteristics that describe Shane Brandon . Sounds like your kind of guy, am I right?

I thought so but my tune changed once I came to realized just how dysfunctional Shane’s family is. The intricate lies, conspiracies, and constant manipulation that is occurring amongst the family members is unfathomable.  The crazy thing is that even with the tension and animosity  Shane cares enough that he will do just about anything to save his family.

The only thing that keeps him sane is his supposed one-night stand/turned loyal employee, Emily. And although their relationship starts off as one hot sexual pursuit you can tell that their connection then was remarkably deep and profound. She was his calm in the midst of a storm, someone tailored perfectly for him. Too perfect that you can’t help feel this paranoia considering a number of secrets that she is harboring.

Another thing Lisa Renee Jones is good at is leaving us wanting  MORE. Yes, ladies, not all too surprised here – the story ends with a major cliffhanger. Personally, I didn’t mind one bit. The intrigue combined with a degree of complexity was damn well worth it. The compelling ending will certainly have you reeling and begging for more!
