The stunning conclusion to the New York Times Bestseller.

These are the unbreakable rules in the game.
Stay collected. Compartmentalize. Think your next move through. Never let your heart dictate your tactics.

The heart is impulsive.
The heart makes bad decisions.
The heart doesn’t see the long game.

Because the heart may have decided to get Adam back, but when the endgame comes, the heart’s going to be the first thing to break.

Liezel’s Thoughts:

If you haven’t read the first book in the series. I suggest that you do so now because this duet is amazing. What I loved most about the Games Duet was that it was about an already married couple.  This is such a rarity in the contemporary romances I’ve read lately and this is the primary reason why Adam and Diana’s story stood out for me.

I do have to admit, I wasn’t too keen on Adam in the beginning. He was difficult to gauge. Him diving into a committed relationship without full disclosure was in a sense despicable. As the story evolved, however, I understood where he was coming from. He was so in love with the thought of “them” that he was willing to change the very fiber of his being just for his Diana.  It didn’t make their relationship right but in a way, this is how he thought he could love her.

I couldn’t blame Diana for being so indecisive. Seeing her husband in such a different light would have been overwhelming for anyone.  She was just as confused as Adam was but what was so great about it was even though they were both hesitant at first, they both found their way. It was difficult (and hot), it wasn’t  ideal (yet still hot)  getting to where they needed to be was completely them. (Did I mention that it was so fuckin’ hot? Ok, just making sure you heard me loud and clear…)

I loved that Adam and Diana’s story had a lesson to learn. It reiterated that marriage takes a lot of work, that couples change over time but if you are committed enough, love enough that your relationship could persevere and become even better.

If you’re looking for something extraordinary about a couple fighting and falling in love over and over again then try this duet.  I guarantee that you will love it. For me, It is by far my favorite of CD Reiss’ to date!

The Verdict:

About CD Reiss

CD Reiss is a USA Today and Amazon bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn’t pick up, she’s at the well, hauling buckets.

Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master’s degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere, but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.

Critics have dubbed the books “poetic,” “literary,” and “hauntingly atmospheric,” which is flattering enough for her to put it in a bio, but embarrassing enough for her not to tell her husband, or he might think she’s some sort of braggart who’s too good to chop a cord of wood.

If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.
