He was the talented bad boy everyone wanted.
I was the irrelevant geek everyone hated.

He was the sun...drawing all of us in.
I was a black hole...taking up space.

He was destined to be a star.
I was destined to remain an insignificant no one.

Until he made me believe I was special...

And then he destroyed me.

I never thought I'd see Phoenix Walker again after he broke my heart, but fate had other plans.

One tour. Eight weeks. Forty shows.

Countless opportunities to make him pay.

The world thought he was a God...
But I knew the truth.

Liezel’s Thoughts:

I was so thoroughly disappointed with my last rockstar romance read and thought maybe it wasn’t a troupe that I was feeling. I decided to give it another shot to prove myself wrong, and OMG! This time, I picked the perfect rockstar romance because The Words is in every sense of “the word.” Perfect.

From the very first chapter, I was utterly captivated. I am all about supporting the underdog, and Lennon played an intense one in this story. I thought her character was terrific. Despite her issues, I admired that she had fight.

On the other hand, her counterpart was difficult to accept at first. Phoenix was one of those characters that you love to hate. As far as their pairing goes… I thought Lennon and Phoenix didn’t make sense, but I loved how Ashley Jade proved me wrong. I wouldn’t say I liked Phoenix at first, but towards the end, I felt the complete opposite.

If you are looking for a un put down-able, sexy, rockstar romance – read this book. I adored it and can not wait to read about the other characters’ stories or any other book written by  the author.
